What you'll need:
For the Dough recipe:
Step 1:
Add the warm water and yeast to a large mixing bowl and stir to mix, let sit 5 minutes.
Combine the rest of the pizza dough recipe ingredients to the bowl and stir lightly with a fork until the mixture starts to clump.
Knead the mixture for 2 minutes with your fists and then form the dough into a ball.
Place the dough in a glass bowl that's been coated or sprayed with cooking oil.
Roll the dough over in the bowl several times so it's also coated with the oil and cover loosely with plastic wrap.
Let rise for 2 - 4 hours in a warm draft-free location until doubled in size.
Step 2:
Dice the red onion into approximately 1/2" pieces.
Break the asparagus spears so you have the tender tips, look for a bunch with about 15 - 20 spears. More or less depends on you.
Wash the broccoli and cut it into smaller chunks, about 1/2" to 3/4" pieces.
Preheat the grill to 550F and setup for direct heat cooking.
Oil a grilling wok or perforated grilling platter.
When the BBQ reaches temperature saute the vegetables in the wok or on the grilling platter several minutes just until they begin to soften.
Remove the vegetables from the heat.
Step 3: Begin working the dough on the floured surface into an even thickness and shape that will fit on your pizza stone.
Keep a slight lip around the edge to help keep the sauce in.
Step 4: Transfer the dough to the cornmeal covered peel or platter.
This will make transferring it to the BBQ much easier.
Spread the Alfredo sauce evenly over the surface of the dough.
Distribute the veggies evenly over the Alfredo sauce.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the veggies.
Place the sliced tomatoes over the cheese.
Step 5: Preheat grill to 500F - 525F.
When the grill reaches temperature, cover the pizza stone with cornmeal to prevent the pizza from sticking.
Place the pizza on the stone and close the lid.
Cook 8 - 14 minutes depending on how soft or crispy you want the crust. Check occasionally to make sure the crust isn't burning.
Serve immediately.
Use your imagination, mix and match different veggies to make this vegetable pizza something that's uniquely yours!
Sprinkle flour over your working surface or counter.
Sprinkle cornmeal over a pizza peel or large platter slightly bigger then the crust.
Set up the grill for indirect cooking and place the pizza stone on the grates.
